as bad as it gets. >>> the hunt for malaysia flight 370 enters a new faith. searchers will shift away from scanning for debris from the missing jet and instead focus on plumbing the depths of the indian ocean. >>> and a show of solidarity. the los angeles clippers send a message to owner donald sterling after he's allegedly recorded making racist comments. captioning funded by cbs >>> this is the "cbs morning news" for monday, april 28th, 2014. good morning. thanks for joining us. i'm marlie hall in for anne-marie green. this morning recovery efforts are under way in several states after a deadly series of tornadoes drove through the midwest and southeast. at least 12 before killed and dozens injured. speaking from the philippines this morning president obama sent his condolences to the victims and says federal officials are on the ground to help. besides the tornadoes the powerful storm system produced high winds and heavy rains from texas to kentucky. this morning the system is headed east. hardest hit is an area north of little rock, arkansas, where at least 16 people were killed.
